Life Circle

People born, grow up, married, having babies, grow old, die.
The babies born, grow up, married, having babies, bla bla bla.
The babies from the grew up babies born, grow up, married, having babies, bla bla bla.
Aaaand so on.

That's why I think there'll be a time when the earth couldn't hold such population growth. There'll be a scarcity of land for building, scarcity of food, and scarcity of water.
It reminds me of Egypt when I come there. They said, people in Egypt build house up to 4th floor (maybe more). 1st floor for the 1st generation, 2nd floor for the 1st floor generations' children if they've married, and so on.
Quite old photo I took in Egypt

But actually. it's not the point of wrote this post. I post about this because today is my cousins' khitbah day and this is the first time I attend such khitbah process.

I found that the khitbah or lamaran or engagement tradition is different between areas in Indonesia (although I never attend other traditional khitbah process). Just now, I found that the khitbah in Bangka tradition involve 'transaction' to bond the relationship between the future bride and groom. Yeah, it's really 'transaction' literally. The mother of male gave money to the mother of female. It's kind of shocking me. Waw, is it really they buy the female or something?

Well, whatever. Happy engagement day my dear cousin~ May Allah Swt give us His ridha and let everything running well as His plans.

I really feel like stepping on another phase of my life. We grew up and then one of us getting married and then having baby. And maybe my turn will come too. I couldn't imagine that if the next year or the years later Lebaran is coming, do we still could get together as a big family?
